In order to take part in the IFAC NMPC 2024, all participants are required to complete registration and pay the registration fee. Participants are eligible to take advantage of early registration discounts by completing online registration by 23:59 (US Pacific Time), May 1, 2024, at the registration site (IFAC PaperCept).
NMPC 2024 is best structured for in-person attendance to enjoy the full benefits of the events such as interactive sessions, the round table discussion, and a variety of social activities. Considering the worldwide Covid-19 situation, online attendance is also possible, but the benefits are unavoidably limited compared to the in-person attendance. Specifically, real-time attendance is not possible for online attendees. The details of the benefits/restrictions about the online attendance are described below.

If none of the authors of a paper is on the site, the pre-recorded presentation video of the paper is shown to the audience.
IFACNMPC 2024 committees are planning to offer childcare services to parents with childcare responsibilities who wish to attend the conference. However, the possibility to provide services depends on the budget and needs. Participants who are going to bring children to the conference are invited to reply to the following survey so that we can know how many participants need childcare services. Please reply to the survey by 15th June 2024. The type of support or service will be defined and communicated after the deadline. The results will be posted on this page.

The NMPC 2024 National Organizing Committee reserves the right to cancel the 8th IFAC Conference on Nonlinear Model Predictive Control (NMPC 2024) without notice or compensation in the event of any delay, default, failure or cancellation of implementation of any deliverable to or for the IFAC NMPC 2024 which has been caused, directly or indirectly, by any incident of “force majeure”. For the purposes hereof, the term “force majeure” shall mean any incident, circumstance or cause which renders delivery of the IFAC NMPC 2024 substantially or totally impossible or impracticable and which is beyond the control of the NMPC 2024 National Organizing Committee. The term shall include but not be limited to the following:
In such circumstances, the NMPC 2024 National Organizing Committee and the NMPC 2024 organizers are hereby indemnified and shall not be liable to any delegate, supplier or other service provider for any loss or damage save that the NMPC 2024 National Organizing Committee shall only be liable to reimburse the relevant party such amounts as may actually have been received by the NMPC 2024 National Organizing Committee BUT AFTER deduction of any costs that have been reasonably incurred by it up to the point of cancellation in preparing the Conference. This limited liability does not extend to any payments that may have been made directly or indirectly (on behalf of delegates/attendees/service providers, etc.) to third parties such as hotels or airlines.
The NMPC 2024 National Organizing Committee and the NMPC 2024 organizers shall not be responsible for any theft, breakage, destruction or damages of any kind whatsoever and howsoever caused to personal and/or business items of delegates, accompanying persons, children, or other attendees.
All delegates are to make themselves fully aware of the health and visa requirements in respect of travel to Japan; in the event that an individual is unable to participate in the Conference due to not meeting these requirements in any way, neither the NMPC 2024 National Organizing Committee nor the NMPC 2024 organizers accept responsibility in any respect.
